All of DHK members are seasoned,professional musicians, with many years of experience.The Dog House Kitchen sound is a big rich stew of many styles and influences. Perhaps the best way to describe it is in geographic terms: New Orleans meets Memphis meets Chicago meets Detroit meets Nashville meets Muscle Shoals. They move effortlessly between old-school blues and honky tonk to hard-driving funk, and extended jazz-tinged jams, lending their distinctive sound to it all.
Though writing and recording are important to this band, the real life-blood of DHK is performing live. there is a real spontaneity and intensity to their live shows that has been wowing audiences around the Louisville area for the short time they’ve been together.
